Render on Portico

Rendering of portico had been done today. Looks alright :)

The fixing carpenter had fixed most of the skirting boards and doors upstairs, and there's still a few windows that need the architraves.

[Master Bedroom doors - all internal doors upstairs will be flushed]

Noticed some places had quite big gaps between the plasterboard and skirting boards.

Hi H,
Doesn't the render change the look of the house. What colour did you choose?

Hmmm ... thos gaps between the plaster and skirting. We had heaps of them. Some are nothing to worry about and are sealed up when the painting starts. But others could be a sign of a bowed wall. It's easy to check with a spirit level. Get your SS to check the walls where there are really big gaps. If the wall is bowed, they will need to straighten it.

Cheers

Hi Liana,
We've chosen Rockcote Dry Creek for the render, if I remember correctly, I think it is kind of latte color.

Thanks for the tips on the gaps!
Will see how it goes after painting and if it still not fixed, we'll have a chat with SS about it. :)
