Received a letter from PD today to confirm the start date of the construction, and will take 248 days to complete. Why 248?? According to the contract, that includes public holidays, wet weather allowance etc? Will there be extra delay due to Christmas/New Year break?? Not sure, will have to check with CS from PD.
Based to PD's schedule below, we're kind of ahead of schedule... not surprising when work actually began before the official start date.
WEEK 1
Site start is the day that all construction starts on site, usually when home is set out on the block. Hire items will be delivered, any excavation work done, under slab drains are laid and electrical connection cable is laid.
We're now in concrete slab preparation. The formwork and steel reinforcement were done this morning. Here are some pics.

Congrats on the start! Doesn't seem that long ago we were at that stage.
Our contract is for 254 days, we are at day 159 now and due for handover in four weeks so don't read into that too much :-)
Thanks, looking at the schedule PD sent, doesn't seem long to finish too :)
Just came across your blog and looking forward to following your progress. Firstly, congrats on your official start. Second, I notice tht the PD Cremorne 41 has become a Cremorne 42 very recently. Do you know what the difference is?
Cheers
Liana
Hi Liana and Rob, thanks for visiting our blog :) I don't think there is any difference between Cremorne 41 and 42 because the standard size of Cremorne is 41.74sq, so I think they're just rounding it up instead of down.
your blog is excellent! Actually, I wanna know more information about this.......
