Ground floor frame

Today's progress was not as "wow" as yesterday, probably because there were 6 guys yesterday but only 2 today.

With the powder room walls and the walls between stairs and kitchen/pantry done, the frames for ground floor are completed now (I think), and the guys have started on work for the "ceiling" (?) of the ground floor.

The main entrance door frame and the translucent sidelights are in. Without any protective layer on the glass sidelights, we're keeping an eye on when the glasses will start to get scratches.

Door frame for laundry is up too.

Hi there "H",
Looking good! The most exciting part is when you start seeing the upstairs frame go up, then it really starts to take shape.

Have to agree with you re the sidelights. Very surprised they put them in so soon, but perhaps it's because your front door frame came in once piece, with the sidelights already in, so they had no choice.

Either way, PD are fairly diligent about replacing or fixing anything that gets damaged during the build.

Cheers
Liana

Don't you just love the smell of pine?

The fram stage is exciting - things happen fast!

Our front door frame was in one piece, so the glass was in very early. No problems at all with scratches, either.
