Hit and Miss

Progress has been S.L.O.W past few days.

On day 1 of framing there were 6 guys, then 2 on day 2, zero on day 3, 2 on day 4, and today there were 3.

Anyway, the guys were fitting the boards for the upper floor today, and we noticed there were quite a fair bit of nails that were not nail correctly. Not sure is this an issue.

[edit] Had a look from upstairs, the frame guys had re-nailed the missed ones :)

Boy oh boy. Me thinks these guys need to go down to Bunnings and spend $30 on a Stud Finder...!!

It seems most of the blogs have reported a bit of a slow week.
Unfortunately, the bricking phase has been slow for most builds as well. Things will pick up after that.
Who is your supervisor? Ours mentioned that he has one or two houses being built in Tarneit..!!

LOL! Stud finer would help, but me thinks they're using blind framers!

How can you miss that many times?! You always see a few hit n misses with the timber work, but that takes the Hit N Miss Award!

Hopefully, they have also shot the nails into the studs when they realised all this.

Cheers
Liana

oh gee how could they miss so many! I hope that there is another row of nails actually going into the beams!

Sorry to hear they are travelling a bit slow. Hopefully they'll pick up the pace for you soon.

Hi all, had a chat with the frame guys today, and they said they've noticed the nails and had re-nailed them. Will see when we get a chance to go upstairs.

DeGaul: Our SS is Andrew, different to yours (Scott right?)

Liana: I think they've mis-judged the length, so they've missed consistently.

House-to-Be: I think tomorrow will be a good day coz they're doing the frames for the upper floor. Should be exciting!
