Painting Continues

The first coat of painting had been done throughout the house, and the painters were getting ready for second coat this morning.

The main colour we chose is Wattyl Deauville, it's a bit yellowish, kind of a slightly darker tone of Paperbark.

The glass splashback had also been installed, and the colour we had chosen was Dulux Mocha Magic.

Our floor tiles Kimberly Smoke 450mm x 450mm had been delivered. So should see some action pretty soon! :P

Hey H,
Your kitchen is coming along great. The splashback colour works really well with your cabinetry.

I missed your previous post, but noticed your comment about the "thingy" at the base of the downpipe on your garage. That's a lead strip and believe it or not, it doesn't get painted. Yep, it looks butt-ugly, doesn't it. So does ours. We queried it and that's the way it's done.

The "SPR" on your drawing means "spreader". That's the piece of horizontal downpipe that sits on the roof with the 4 holes in it and it does sit on the front side of roof, so water can run off into the gutters. I know it looks ugly, but looking at your photo, yours has been done really well. Ours wasn't and it caused leakage into the garage.

Hope that helps.
Yay for your tile delivery!!!

Cheers

Hi Liana,

We were surprised to see the spreader because we have not see it before (or rather have not take notice) in other houses or display homes. How careless!!!

Well, if it's like what you said they'll do nothing about it, then we'll just have to live with it! :(

Cheers
